Rivers on Garnett on accompanying the team to Cleveland for yesterday’s game:
As for why Garnett made the flight here and possibly won’t go to the
game against his former team, the Timberwolves, on Friday, Rivers said:
“He wanted to come here. The Minnesota thing, we’ll cross that when we
get to it. He may go, he may not. It’s just he doesn’t want to be a
distraction.”

When it was noted that Minnesota fans might want to express their
affection, Rivers said: “I understand, but we’re in the win business. .
. . Kevin’s such a great team player. He doesnt want it to be about
him, and he knows there it would be.” . . .
