Wolves Updates 1/14

The Wolves might evaluate after today’s practice
whether Randy Foye can handle an increased workload in his comeback
from a left knee injury.

Wittman said over the weekend Foye hasn’t had any
setbacks since he was cleared last Monday to resume practicing with
restrictions. The next big step for Foye is to resume full-contact
drills with the team.

From Britt Robson/On The Ball:
Nearly halfway through his fourth NBA season, the evidence continues to
mount that Al Jefferson is a lazy defender. Perhaps what damns him most
of all in this regard is the huge disparity between his doggedly
refined low-post game on offense and his frequent willingness to get
undressed on defense…

10,000 Takes includes Marko Jaric and Mark Madsen on its list of "The Best of Minnesota Sports."

Joanne C. Gerstner/The Detroit News lists Corey Brewer among the "young players who aren’t afraid to give up the ball."

Postgame quotes from Saturday’s loss to San Antonio.

Asking the Timberwolves to win in San Antonio would have been unrealistic, given the way they’ve struggled in recent weeks.

So it was a tiny step toward progress that they
showed some improvement in a 105-88 loss to the Spurs on Saturday night
at ATT Center.
