2010 Year End Recognition Awards

2010 is slowly coming to an end and it is time for our yearly awards. Most of you probably knows it form last year when mmaland organized it all and done a great job. Cut and paste the catagories and place your vote next to each one. The polls will be open for a few weeks and I will tally the results and post them. Put some thoughts behind your votes.

woohoo I didn't get to participate in this last year. I've been anticipating this post.

I hope more people will vote this year. Last year, there were just 9 people who voted.

I'll get the voting started

1.Rookie of the Year - Swimmer. Good quality posts right from the moment he got here.

2.Most improved - Wolfenstein, Been dropping knowledge all over the board.

3.Biggest Homer - Loyal Wolf. Name says it all.

4.Most Negative - Roundhouse. Let's just name this the roundhouse award. Not hating on roundhouse though because I enjoy the different points of view he brings up.

5.Most Entertaining - daddyfatsax, most entertaining in the fact that any post by him usually settles any debate among fellow bloggers

6.Best Foreign Poster - not going to lie this was the hardest thing to vote for because we have a lot of overseas bloggers who make quality posts. So in order not to leave anyone out I'm giving everyone from overseas a vote because its well deserved.

7.Most Missed Poster - TWIS. He has disappeared. Come back!

8.MVP (Most Valuable Poster) - Wallyworld. All the write ups this year have been very well thought out and put together. Usually any front page thing WW put out there was gold.

9.Best Avatar award - Minnesota Polars. Don't mess with the Polar Bear

10.Best Signature - College Wolf. He's got the 'Toine in it so win by default.

11.Most creative - DeRok. Mad props for the new layout of the blog and the new design at the top. Many changes throughout the year and not one of them was for the worse.

12.Nicest Person - pants. Got this far without giving him a vote and he deserves a vote.

1.Rookie of the Year - Wolfenstein. Has sparked about 3 FP posts and has been a solid contributor in his 9 months here.

2.Most Improved - Ill give this to Pants, because of his increased contributions...his posts were always good. Also like how Pants is willing to disagree with people to keep the convo going. Doesn't happen enough around here I dont think. Those day long battles about (terrible) Josh Smith trades are quite fun.

3.Biggest Homer - Mmaland. Because everyone is doing it, and because a lot of us are pretty negative around here anyways so I can't think of anyone else.

4.Most Negative - I suppose Roundhouse, even though I think he deserves more recognition

5.Most Entertaining - DaddyFatSax - I'd toss him in the best bball mind hat if there were one, however I accidentally delete his posts so I guess I would be the only one to recognize him for that anyway.

6.Best Foreign Poster - Czaras. Always a good addition to any conversation

7.Most Missed Poster - TWiS for sure.

8.MVP (Most Valuable Poster) - Sigh...College Wolf. Yay, College Wolf, now taking a 3-1 lead in the MVP race, to all fault of my own. Ugh, how predictable. I am also a better person for at least giving him a vote in a category, and also for not voting for myself (fail) . jokes aside, obviously he keeps the boat a rockin and is a good man, is welcoming, and doesn't ban people for disagreeing with him.

9.Best Avatar award - Pants. Just funny. I think a lot of people around here should upgrade a little bit.

10.Best Signature - Roundhouse. For Sure. Hilarious, random, non-Wolves-related joke about Chuck Norris having 5 ballsacks. What is not to love?

11.Most creative - Flash - those pictures man. Immediately get forwarded to various other idiots I e-mail with daily.

12.Nicest Person - BonK. Good man, that BonK. Wish he posted more.

I think this needs a category along the lines of "best basketball mind/knowledge/overall takes" etc. This is way different than MVP in my mind.

And to the others I forgot about, you are all awesome too, and can have howls. Definitely like this board and I'm glad I came here awhile back and ditched the massive, impossible to keep up with boards such as RealGM, etc. I highly enjoy a slightly more modest in size, yet active bunch.

Also, for any others who vote/participate in this I will give you a howl.
