Season Record: 10-36

Yeah, it's the Raptors but you can't pick us to beat anyone except Cleveland at this point.

PREDICTION:

Wolves 109 - Wizards 113
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Anything's possible. (K.Garnett)

Wolves 106
Raptors 99

Bonus: If you combine the first letter of the first name of the player with the most blocks with the second and third letters of the first name of the highest scorer and the first letter of the last name of who ever does not dress for the Wolves, it will spell DICK.

Raptors = 98
Wolves = 95

Bonus: Miss 3 at the end by Beasley to end the game.

Re: Game Thread: Wolves vs Toronto Raptors 1.29.11 1 year, 3 months ago #59334

Wolves - 109
Raptors - 108

Bonus: After the game is over people will come onto the blog and bitch and moan about how horrible Flynn is. That Kevin Love can't play defense. Brewer was amazing for a short spurt but everyone will key in on that and not the stupid chances he takes on defense that leaves his team out to dry. Sick of Ridnour shooting early in the shot clock. That Rambis can't manage a rotation.

Seriously people it's what i'm reading after every fricken game. Why do you think it's going to change? I get that it's nice to let out some frustration, but when its the same stuff game after game it just gets annoying reading. Team is what the record says we are which is 10-36. Which shows we suck again this year.

I have the POOOOWWWWWWEEEEERRRR!! Cringer became the Mighty Battle Kitten Rambis, and I became HE-PEK the most powerful man in the NBA. Only a few others share this secret... Wow the one game in like 10 that I didn't watch and we win. Sooo how'd we do it?

No idea.

Another win not on TV.

Looking at the boxscore, Love, Darko, Webster, and Johnson were the guys that carried us. Very bad games by Beasley, Puke Ridnour, and Brewer.

Flynn is playing a lot of minutes lately. Trade soon I hope? Granted it's crappy Toronto that plays as bad or worse defense as the Wolves, but Flynn had 10 points, 6 boards, and 8 assists. Only 2 turnovers. That's a miracle.

When I saw that the game wasn't televised, I actually said, "Well, that probably means we'll win." The Wolves master plan to NOT televise wins is certainly working...

On the bright side, it is nice to see the Wolves not play down to a bad team, but actually lay into them! Too bad Beasley couldn't hit anything...If he'd been hitting shots, we'd have really beat the piss out of 'em! I think this might be our first win against Toronto in 5 seasons, so I'll take it gladly.

We pretty much pounded the Raps in the paint and then made our outside shots when we had to. Darko did a good job on Bargnani inside and outside the paint.

The Raps shot really really bad, but our 3 pt defense was better then usual. I think them being out muscled and out hustled had alot to do with it.

Webster got most of his points in garbage time to be honest. But he did make sure we didnt blow another lead.

Puke didn't do to bad, it was just that Flynn was on fire for awhile. Goaty got hurt towards the end of the game. Not sure his status.

Darko had some pretty sweet assists, he would have had more if we were better at finishing.

Overall I would say it was mostly to us out hustling them.

Brewer played good D according to the write-up, and there’s no reason to get on a guy for not shooting the ball while playing D. Wes and Webster put the ball in the hole, but that doesn't mean that Brewer didn't play well.

Oh, ok. Good to know. Being I didn't see the game, I was just going by the boxscore. Fail on my part.
