The Wolves took Wednesday off and will practice today at Target Center,
then fly to the West Coast for games Friday at the Los Angeles Lakers
and Saturday at Sacramento.

The 2007-08 season wasn’t a week old before Wolves Coach Randy Wittman
brought out that dreaded “R-word”: “We just got to earn our respect
from the referees, the owners [and] fans. Everything that is said about
us is that we are a young team that is learning and stuff.”
Not so much what the Timberwolves are rebuilding, but what they are
trying to build is the question here. “We want to show a lot of
character to our fans,” says guard Sebastian Telfair.

The Timberwolves have sold 14 of Target Center’s 50
luxury suites at prices ranging from $120,000 to $500,000 apiece for
the year.
