Chad Hartman/KFAN talked to Britt Robson this afternoon about Marko Jaric and Craig Smith as pleasant surprises, last night’s game in Washington, Rashad McCants, and more. You can listen to the interview here.

Craig Smith finished with 36 points in Tuesday’s game at Washington,
becoming the 18th player in Timberwolves history to score 35 or more.
Smith’s 15-point first quarter tied the team’s season high for one
period, and came on the heels of a 12-point effort in the opening
quarter vs. Phoenix on Saturday.

Mike Trudell/Timberwolves site with some background on Craig Smith:
Finally, if you tuned into the sports leader late Tuesday night, ESPN
analysts Jalen Rose and Kiki Vandeweghe were going through NBA
highlights on "NBA Fastbreak" and host Matt Winer mentioned Smith’s
36-point performance. Jalen Rose’s response: "Who?"

That’s the Rhino, Jalen. Don’t worry, you’ll be hearing from him again soon.

Trudell also looks at tonight’s game at the Sixers.

David Thorpe/ESPN lists Corey Brewer at #4 on his list of the current top 10 rookies.
Anyone who records 18 boards, five assists and four steals in one game
deserves a top-five ranking. Plus, Brewer has added rebounding totals
of 11 and nine since then … from the small forward position.
