Wolves Updates 1/16

From Britt Robson/On The Ball:
Corey Brewer may be hitting the proverbial rookie wall, usually judged
to begin slightly before or after the midpoint of the 82 game season.
Yes, I know Brewer’s minutes have been cut, but it isn’t the game-time
lack of energy so much as the constant practicing, travel, level of
competition, and, in Brewer’s case, all the losing…

From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press:
Ratliff said there’s no doubt he will play again this season. He’s not sure when he will be cleared to play again, but he said he’s targeting a return soon after the All-Star Game on Feb. 17.

Wittman said Ratliff might be able to resume practicing in a couple of weeks.

The torn meniscus wasn’t found until Ratliff had
arthroscopic surgery. A magnetic resonance imaging exam didn’t reveal
the injury because the tear was difficult to see.

Ratliff hasn’t been cleared to run yet. He has a
follow-up appointment Monday in Birmingham, Ala., with Dr. James
Andrews, who performed the surgery.

From Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune:
-Wittman was planning on meeting with team medical personnel after Tuesday’s game to decide when to move Randy Foye into full-contact practices.

-Center Michael Doleac stayed home sick Tuesday.

Craig Smith from the latest installment of the Rhino Diaries:
But enough about ball. I’m gonna take a different direction and talk
about some of the things I do on a day off or after an early practice:
First of all, I love going to eat breakfast late after getting a lift
on an off day, so I go to a place called Uptown Diner. Then I may stop
and get a manicure or pedicure (I know a lot of you may be thinking,
"Why, Rhino?" Trust me … When your feet get stepped on or hit and
your nails aren’t cut down, you can be in a lot of pain). It’s very
relaxing. For real.

Mike Max/WCCO on Eric Gordon:
Minnesota Timberwolves scouts will be at Williams
Arena on Thursday night, but not with a vested interest in the Gophers.
They’ll be watching Indiana guard Aaron Gordon. Some say he’ll come out
to the pros this season and he could be a top four pick. That means the
Timberwolves may have an interest in drafting him.

From Charley Walters/Pioneer Press:
Al Jefferson, at No. 25, has by far the top-selling jersey among current Wolves.
