announced.
"We wanted to give fans a chance to thank Kevin Garnett for all that he
contributed to the organization in his 12 years in Minnesota," said
Wolves Senior VP of Communications Ted Johnson. "Even though it’s
unprecedented for teams to introduce a player not in the starting
lineup, we felt it was important for our fans to have the opportunity
to show their appreciation."

It was confirmed Thursday afternoon that Garnett did get on the plane
headed to Minneapolis, and will be at the arena for the game. After
Boston’s game vs. the L.A. Clippers Wednesday night, Celtics head coach
Doc Rivers said that he "Doubts if (Garnett) sits on the bench. That
would be different, and I don’t want to do anything different."
