USC guard DeMar DeRozan’s solo workout scheduled this morning for Target Center was called off after DeRozan because he was ill, so he flew directly from Memphis back home to L.A. without stopping for a look-see in our fair city.
Might be legit. Also might be his agent pulling him out because he either thinks there’s no chance the Wolves will take his client or because he’s trying to discourage the Wolves from selecting DeRozan.
I’d guess the latter option because of how on again-off again his workout scheduled for here has been.

The team says it’ll try to reschedule the workout, but timing’s getting short with the draft now just three days away.
A group of late first- and second-round prospects, led by North Carolina guard Wayne Ellington, is scheduled to work out Tuesday morning.
Other players in that group are center Aron Baynes (Washington State), guard Sergey Glady (Ukraine) and forward Darren Kent (Kansas State).
