The Minnesota Timberwolves signed first-round draft picks Jonny Flynn (sixth overall) and Wayne Ellington (28th), the team announced today.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The Timberwolves’ first pick (fifth overall) in the draft, Ricky Rubio, remains under contract in Spain and needs to buy out his deal to play in the NBA.

UPDATE:
First-round picks Jonny Flynn and Wayne Ellington have signed their rookie contracts, just as they arrive in Las Vegas today to begin practicing for summer-league play that begins Sunday.

Flynn is slotted to earn at least $2.47 million next season, Ellington at least $836,300.

Haven’t heard yet if either player got an extra 20 percent teams are allowed to give players.

Usually, players do get that 120 percent figure, as Kevin Love received last year when the Wolves paid him $3.3 million instead of $2.7 million plus.
