Kahn called the 6-6 Richardson’s acquisition “less an acquisition at this point than an ability to create [roster] flexibility” and make additional trades, perhaps to target expensive Phoenix shooting guard Jason Richardson or disgruntled Portland shooting guard Rudy Fernandez, Rubio’s former teammate with the DKV Joventut team from which Rubio is seeking his release.

Richardson could be traded for the fourth time this summer, but the Wolves cannot package him with another of their players in a deal for the next 60 days.
