The New Orleans Hornets are on the verge of completing a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves to improve their depth, according to NBA front-office sources, with forward Darius Songaila and guard Bobby Brown headed to the Hornets in exchange for guard Antonio Daniels.

Sources told ESPN.com that the deal — which also sends a 2014 second-round pick to the Timberwolves — will be announced later Wednesday.
