From Chad Ford/ESPN:
Kevin Love said he had scheduled workouts with the Timberwolves, Sonics, Knicks and Nets.
Brook Lopez said he has scheduled workouts with the Wolves and Sonics.
Lopez is expected to fly into Minnesota Monday evening for interviews
and a Target Center workout on Tuesday, the first day teams can work
out prospects individually.

"I’d really like to play with Al Jefferson," said Lopez, who isn’t
playing in the Orlando camp but will be measured and tested today along
with more than a dozen other players projected as top draft picks. "He
looks like he’s going to be a superstar within a couple of years. I’d
definitely like to go in there and do whatever is necessary to help
them win."

UCLA freshman forward Kevin Love said he will come to Minnesota for his visit in mid-June.
Lopez said he has confirmed
workouts with only Seattle and Minnesota so far. The Timberwolves hold
the No. 3 pick in the draft, and Lopez said despite the drastic change in climate, he welcomes the idea of playing in Minnesota.

"I think it’d work out well
– Al Jefferson being a very accomplished low-post scorer, and I
wouldn’t really have to worry about the double- and triple-teams I
faced in college," Lopez said. "It’d be more one-on-one and I’d just do
what I can. I’d really be looking to play the five position and I’d
cherish the opportunity."

From Chad Ford/ESPN:
Burgler (Eagan, MN): Chad, please please PLEASE tell
me that McHale isn’t going to screw up another draft by either (a)
taking Brook Lopez at #3 or (b) trading down to take Joe Alexander. If
he goes either of those routes, the Wolves will be dead to me.

Chad Ford: You mean you aren’t already? I think Lopez
is slipping. Alexander is very athletic … but he still is learning
how to play. I think Mayo is the way to go … unless they can find a
way to do a deal with Miami for the No. 2 pick. Maybe the No. 3 plus
Miami’s first round pick next year back to Miami for the No. 2. Then
the Wolves can get Beasley and the Heat can take Mayo.

Sources close to the Timberwolves are saying Kevin McHale and his
staff are trying to decide who they think is the better fit for their
team. Front-court forward Kevin Love, or back-court guard O.J. Mayo.
Right now Kevin McHale feels like Kevin Love would be an excellent
complement to Al Jefferson.

In the last few weeks the draft stock of UCLA forward Kevin Love has absolutely soared. In fact, there are rumblings out of Minnesota the Timberwolves may be considering drafting Love with the third overall pick in next month’s NBA draft. That’s a far cry from the mid to late first round projections of a couple of months ago. However, not everyone is buying the hype.
"You want to know the truth? I think he’s another Sean May," confided a Western Conference executive speaking on the condition of anonymity…
Stan McNeal/Sporting News on Kevin Love:
Love was able to talk specifically about how he would fit in with the
Clippers ("Knowing their situation, I’d have to hope Elton Brand opts
out," he joked); the Timberwolves ("Al Jefferson is such a beast
inside, he’s going to be double-teamed, and I’d be able to complement
him from the outside");

Also from McNeal:
If Love ends up measuring out at less than 6-9 and doesn’t wow in his workouts, he could slip out of the lottery. Based on the presence he has shown off the court — as well as on it, according to one exec — that would be a mistake.
