Randy Foye walked into practice on Tuesday afternoon with a surgical boot on his right foot. The shooting guard took a hard fall on Monday night while trying to catch a high lob pass on the fast break in the fourth quarter. Foye explained to reporters that his ankle did not swell as much as the training staff expected. He is doubtful for the game against Memphis tomorrow night but could possibly make a return to the floor on Friday.
Guard Randy Foye watched practice on Tuesday with a walking boot on his sprained right ankle. The team’s second leading scorer is likely to miss at least one game and probably more after being injured on Monday against Washington in the team’s 10th consecutive loss.
UPDATE:
Foye said his ankle felt better Tuesday,. but said he’s out for at least a 48-hour evaluation period, which means he’ll miss Wednesday’s game against Memphis. He vowed to be back at soon as Friday night, but acknowledged that sprained ankles often take longer than a few days to heal.
“It feels good to me,” he said after practice. “I would try to play tomorrow. They told me to sit out 48 hours and see how it feels.”
