The Minnesota Timberwolves will tip off their 21st regular season in the National Basketball Association by hosting the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Target Center at 7 p.m. (CST).
The home portion of the Timberwolves schedule features 21 weekend dates (12 – Friday, 6 – Saturday, 3 – Sunday). The home schedule also includes 16 Wednesday, three Monday and one Tuesday games. The Wolves longest homestand this season is a four-game set (March 6-12). The Wolves have a pair of four-game road trips (Jan. 9-15 and March 14-19)

Highlights of the home portion of the Timberwolves’ schedule include the following: one visit by the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers (April 9); the lone visits of the season by NBA MVP LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (Oct. 30) and Kevin Garnett’s Boston Celtics (Nov. 4); a New Year’s Day game versus the NBA runner-up Orlando Magic; a Martin Luther King Day matinee versus Philadelphia (Jan. 18) and two games with the Western Conference Finalist Denver Nuggets (Nov. 25 and March 10).
