The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team’s 2009 preseason schedule. The Wolves will play eight preseason games, starting with a home game slated for Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Wolves also host two games at Target Center and one game in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Timberwolves, still without a head coach, announced today they’ll open preseason play on Oct. 5 at Bresnan Arena in Mankato. The Wolves will follow the opener with their only two preseason Target Center appearances, Oct. 9 vs. Toronto and Oct. 14 vs. Chicago, before heading out on the road for five games. A game previously scheduled for Mitchell, S.D. (Mike Miller’s hometown), was dropped. Not surprisingly. (Correction: Wolves say they never planned a trip to Mitchell, S.D.)

The Wolves open the regular season at home with a 7 p.m. Oct. 28 game against New Jersey.

The Minnesota Timberwolves still don’t have a coach, but they did announce their exhibition schedule today.

The eight-game schedule starts with a home game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 5 at Minnesota State-Mankato.
