From the Timberwolves site:
The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced that forward Kevin Love will undergo surgery tomorrow (Oct. 20) to repair a fracture in his left hand (fourth metacarpal). Dr. Andrew Weiland of New York City’s Hospital for Special Surgery will perform the surgery. The typical recovery time for this procedure is six to eight weeks.
“Kevin will have all the resources necessary here to help with his recuperation, and ideally he’ll be back on the court closer to six weeks than eight weeks,” said David Kahn, Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations. “Having said that, the most important thing is that his hand fully heals before he plays.”
