Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune on Randy Foye’s return:
Just don’t expect to see a lot of Foye right away. His knee is fine.
The problem is that he’s not 100 percent in basketball shape yet. And
Wolves coach Randy Wittman ultimately decided that, at this point in
the season, when practices are getting shorter, the only way to get
Foye in playing shape was to, well, play.

‘’He’s going to have to get the final part of his conditioning in
games,’’ Wittman said. ‘’He’s made progress. We felt confident after
(Monday’s practice) that, if everything went well today, we’d begin
giving him some time.’’

It remains to be seen how playing time changes for Telfair and Marko Jaric, the other starter in the backcourt of late.

Foye, Telfair and Jaric all consider themselves
point guards first and foremost. Telfair’s lack of size prevents him
from playing other positions, but Jaric and Foye can play shooting
guard.

"We haven’t played together much," Telfair said. "I
kind of know his game from seeing him play last year and in preseason.
But as long as we get some practices in and get an opportunity to get
on the court together, the chemistry will come pretty fast."

Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune on last night’s game:
Foye admitted there were times he felt a step slow, like he should have
been able to beat more people off the dribble, but generally thought it
went well.

"They put me through a lot of conditioning workouts leading up to this," he said. "I felt great."

Also from Youngblood:
Center Theo Ratliff, also on the trip, is expected to return to practice, perhaps within a week.

Minnesota Timberwolves exec and former Celtic great Kevin McHale was at
Skyforce practice Tuesday watching forward Chris Richard, who he drove
in from the Twin-Cities Monday night after the Wolves assigned him to
the Force.

Also from Peters:
"I think it’s a great opportunity for me to come down and get better
and get in a lot better shape. I think I kinda struggled a little bit
with my wind today because I haven’t gone this long this hard in a long
time," newly assigned Skyforce forward Chris Richard said.

Tonight’s game with Chicago will be the 15th time in
Minnesota’s history that the Wolves have played the same opponent in
consecutive games but just the second time in a back-to-back situation.
