The Minnesota Timberwolves had a brief spark of well-played basketball in the beginning of February, but after playing against some of the better competition in the league and the Kevin Garnett homecoming wearing off, the Timberwolves find themselves struggling again.

The Timberwolves won three straight from February 4th to February 8th against the Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies and Detroit Pistons, and won five of their eight games during the stretch following those three games. But after their win against the Washington Wizards on February 25th—which was their final win in the aforementioned eight game stretch—the Wolves lost four in a row to the Chicago Bulls, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets. Aside from the Nuggets, the other three teams will be playing in the playoffs.

After picking up a win against playoff-bound Portland, the Timberwolves again dropped a game against the Clippers. From February 23rd to March 9th, the Timberwolves played eight games, seven against playoff teams. The schedule doesn’t seem to ease up either, as Minnesota has three road games this week against the Phoenix Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.

According to SeatSmart.com, the game with the highest average ticket price for Timberwolves tickets this week is on March 13th against the Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The price is $175.13 with a walk-in price of $46. The lowest average ticket price is $67.44 with a walk in price of $15 against the Suns, where it is WWE night.

An interesting storyline to focus on towards the end of the season is the role of Garnett. If Garnett no longer has the desire to play, he can easily step into a role in the front office. Either way, it seems Garnett will be a large part of the franchise moving forward.
