The Minnesota Timberwolves have gone through a quirky stretch of overtime games as the regular season is winding down.
After an overtime win against the New York Knicks on March 19th, the Timberwolves won in overtime against the Utah Jazz two games later on March 23rd. The following game on March 25th, the Timberwolves lost an overtime game to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Timberwolves had three overtime games in four contests and had a different leading scorer in each victory.
Minnesota is two games ahead of the Knicks avoiding the worst record in the NBA. They’re still in line for the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, but will have a slightly lower percentage chance than the Knicks to land that pick. The Timberwolves are currently riding a three game losing streak, and it may be best for the franchise for that losing streak to continue.
But it’s a great time to see NBA competition for cheap, as Minnesota Timberwolves tickets are some of the least expensive in the league as the regular season comes to an end. With information provided by SeatSmart.com, we can discuss the least expensive and most expensive average ticket prices for Timberwolves games in April.
Most Expensive: 4/11/2015 | Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves | Oracle Arena | Avg: $170.27 | Get-in: $41
The Timberwolves will get a crack at the best team in the NBA on April 11th when they travel to Oracle Arena. The Warriors are what the Timberwolves are striving to be, the best team in the NBA after nailing a few picks in the NBA Draft. It’ll be interesting to see how the Warriors handle the end of the season, juggling the rest of their starters but not wanting to get out of rhythm that served them well in the regular season.
Most Expensive Home Game: 4/15/2015 | Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder | Target Center | Avg: $119.87 | Get-in: $14
The most expensive average ticket price at the Target Center in April is against the unstoppable Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Westbrook is on a historic run as of late, almost averaging a triple-double in the month of February. The Thunder have learned they will not have Kevin Durant for the remainder of the season, so don’t expect Westbrook to dial it back. Even so, it is no wonder Thunder tickets are so highly priced.
Least Expensive: 4/7/2015 | Sacramento Kings vs. Minnesota Timberwolves | Sleep Train Arena | Avg: $59.56 | Get-in: $14
This is a great opportunity to see a young, superstar center on the cheap. DeMarcus Cousins is having his personal best season, being selected to his first All-Star team. Between Cousins and Andrew Wiggins, that’s worth the price of admission alone.
The Timberwolves are disappointed with the regular season, but their fortunes will be reversed if the ping pong balls fall the right way during the NBA Draft Lottery.
