There’s tons of things to talk about at this point in the season:  The Wolves […]

Wolves 76, Hornets 110

From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press: How can a team that scored a season-high 131 points one night struggle to score a season-low 76 just 24 hours later?     From Kent Youngblood/Star Tribune: But fact is, Wittman feared this might happen, if not to this extent. His team was shorthanded for the second consecutive game with […]

From Britt Robson/On The Ball: "When you’re having fun on an NBA floor there is nothing better in the world," said Sebastian Telfair after he played all 48 minutes of the second-highest scoring game in Timberwolves history. Amen to that, Bassy, for you are the MVP of the best three quarters this squad has played […]

Wolves Updates 12/22

From Jery Zgoda/Star Tribune: I’ve never played an NBA game, but I got my first assist tonight. Not from the Target Center official scorekeeper, but from Wolves coach Randy Wittman, who sort of attributed his team’s fourth victory in its first 25 games — a rollicking 131-118 decision over Indiana — to today’s front page […]

Wolves 131, Pacers 118

From Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune: Trailing 40-20 after one quarter, the Wolves outscored the Pacers 40-15 in the second quarter and 111-78 the rest of the way on a night when starting point guard Sebastian Telfair played superbly for all 48 minutes while guards Marko Jaric and Rashad McCants were home ill and Antoine Walker returned […]

Wolves Updates 12/21

From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press: Veteran Marko Jaric didn’t attend Wolves practice Thursday because he’s still sick with the flu. Craig Smith was ill, as well, so he watched from the sidelines. But the Wolves did get two other players back: Antoine Walker and Greg Buckner both practiced. Their status remains day to day. Buckner has […]

From Jerry Zgoda/Star Tribune: Twenty-four minutes of precision and a 62-54 halftime lead fell away once again Wednesday, when the Wolves — in the third quarter’s first seven minutes — committed three times as many turnovers (six) as they had in the entire first half (two). The Warriors outscored them 37-17 in the quarter, including […]
